Fiona Loughlin
Fiona is the longest serving dentist in the practice, taking up the post in 1987 on graduating from Queen’s University Belfast. She has really enjoyed serving the people of Downpatrick and the surrounding area having gone to school in the town herself!
Fiona’s passion lies in empowering her patients to improve their own dental health, especially in the areas of gum disease and nutrition, offering both advice and ongoing support. She is delighted to provide a wide range of dental care, including tooth whitening and a variety of cosmetic treatments.
In her spare time Fiona loves getting out in the fresh air. She particularly enjoys walking, especially with Poppy, her beloved Yorkshire Terrier, and cycling – all preferably within sniffing distance of the sea! Other pastimes include learning Italian, and cooking for family and friends is a favourite. Fiona is married to Mark and has two adult children, Katie and Conall.
