How is a smile restoration planned?

At Mullan Gallagher Dental we start your smile restoration journey with a consultation to discuss the look that you want to achieve and your preferred treatment options. We carry out a detailed examination of your mouth to assess your current dental and gum health, and your bite in order to decide the best treatment to achieve your desired smile. This may involve x-rays, photographs and impressions of your teeth.

How do I know what the final result will be?

Following your treatment proposal, the next stage is to create models of your teeth, and from this a wax ‘mock up’ of your fully restored smile can be created. This is a diagnostic preview of how your teeth will look following the treatment plan. At this point you’ll be able to see your future smile and discuss any alterations, questions or concerns you may have. The model also allows for temporary restorations to be made, which means that you can enjoy a better smile while the treatment plan is underway.
