The P1 class at St Nicholas’ have been learning all about the dental surgery with their teacher Michelle Kane.
Rebecca Mullan (Associate Dentist) and Karen Murray (Dental Nurse) talked with the children all about the foods that are good for our teeth and the foods that are bad for our teeth. They also learned a lot about how to brush our teeth well and the importance of regular check ups with the dentist.
At Mullan Gallagher we work hard with the community to promote preventative dentistry and believe that this begins in childhood through encouraging great oral hygiene and awareness of the causes of tooth decay and erosion. We actively encourage children to make good choices when it comes to the foods that are good for our teeth and the foods that can cause decay and erosion such as high sugar and fructose foods, fizzy drinks and fruit juices. If you have any concerns about how to look after the dental health of your family talk to any of us at any time and we can support you with advice and experience and demonstrate the best way to help your children look after their teeth and oral health for life.
We would like to thank the pupils and staff at St Nicholas’ for allowing us the chance to come and visit, we really enjoyed meeting you all!
